writing a blog is much more difficult than programming. For one.. there are no SRSes, no design documents, no team meetings, unit testing and reviews to hide under. This world makes a nonentity out of you, dries out your creative juices and makes you a run on the mill software engineer.. lost in philistine throngs... I used to write poetry once. until i succumbed to the dictates of society and "doing the right thing" nd "being responsible".Today I am at loss for words... I have so much to say and dont know where to start.

4 years ago, a school girl stepped into the hallowed grounds of BITS Pilani, armed with a bag ful of dreams(not to mention the kilopascals of pressure that "people" thrust upon you. I must admit though, that it was indeed love at first sight(Believe me that never ever happens to me... with any place or person).
The years ahead would smelt and mould me as a strong person, an able leader, a willing follower and what most people would call " a sucessful career woman".

Today, as I look back, BITS has shaped my identity in this world. It has gifted me with the ability to give and recieve love in abundance. It has taught me where to draw the line, It has taught me that holding back is the most difficult part of life.

You know it is a weird thing. I have always been a stickler for privacy. Emotions, thougts, feelings, have always been a guarded fort. That is probably one reason why I could never write my personal diary. Call me a cynic, call me a misanthrope. It is much like a relationship with a person. There are two kinds of people- those who understand and those who dont. And those who do, do it implicitly. I came accross a poster in good ol' cnot a few days back. It said
"I dont explain myself
My friends understand and the rest wont believe me anyways"

But then, who ever said life was easy? who ever said life corresponds to a binary 1 or 0? (Pardon that crude simile...Software Industry does this to you , believe me!!!!)It is these gray shades about life that makes it worth living.

Roark would often wear this T shirt that says" 10 reasons why a beer is better than a woman" just to see me get all hyper and go ga-ga about feminism and MCP Bitsians for an hour.It is another favorite pastime of the gang to see me blush( the author, being a self-professed feminist would rather die than admit she is blushing for a guy!!!!!).
So today was fun. The quintessential BITSian enthusiasm was at its peak again thanks to a fello PS mate's birthday.Software Industry is weird. It has you earning for weekends and these inocuos team lunches and Friday bashes so much it makes you think why you have to work all week in the first place.
Why us? Is the question. Why do we have to go to a strange land, meet strange people, be lost in no mans land only to fall in love with it gradually... and then part...All the human brain longs for is that one element. That element of permanance.
hi.. sample post..
